Tudor Village Residents Afternoon Tea Event raises Vital Funds for Cancer Research

More than 100 residents at Tudor Village enjoyed an afternoon tea event on Thursday 12th June to raise vital funds for cancer research.  The Tudor Village Afternoon Tea raised more than $3,500 for the Cancer Council through donations, raffles, afternoon tea sales and selling hand-made daffodils.

A delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes and pastries was accompanied with sparkling wine, beer, orange juice, tea and coffee.  The afternoon tea was made possible by the generous support of Greg and Cathy from Ashmore’s Smash Repairs Lilydale, with 100% of the funds raised going straight to the Cancer Council.

Carey and Cathy from William Matthews Funerals Lilydale also sponsored the event, providing generous door prizes, raffle prizes and quiz prizes.

Guests were able to show their support by purchasing beautiful hand-made daffodils, made from felt, ribbon and buttons.

The Tudor Village Cancer Council Afternoon Tea was organised by the Tudor Village Residents Association and was one of many fundraising events the Association runs for residents each year.
